Suppliers, State Sales Taxes, and Credit Card Processing - Oh My!

It doesn't get any more fun than this - well - actually this wasn't that bad - as far as paperwork goes anyway.

I spent a fair bit of time sorting out these issues on Tuesday and Wednesday - lots to learn and many choices to make.

I have not been able to spend as much time as I would like getting my designs completed - but I figure I need to get the paperwork and book keeping out of the way first.

I did get around to figuring out how to power up a Bridgeport Series 1 End Mill that requires 240V 3 Phase power with 240V 1 Phase Power. While there are a multitude of solutions - the one that seems to be most appropriate is to use a VFD - Variable Frequency Drive. AC Tech makes a vector drive unit for about $500, that other users of Bridgeport Mills have reported having success with. This means that I will be able to purchase a used Bridgeport for about half of the price of a new End Mill (lots of new mills run on 240V 1 Phase).
