I started with a 12" x 12" x 2" block of Nylon, some hours and many nylon chips later I had 3 blocks. I created a 12 inch, 10 inch and 8 inch radius block. I wanted to have a selection of radii - thinking that I may also be able to use this jig to bend chain stays and seat stays.
Here is a shot of the bender in action.
And after a little tweaking and some time using a universal height gauge to compare the bend in both blades - I was able to get the blades all fit up in the fork jig.
Next step - silver brazing the steerer tube into the fork crown and the drop outs onto the blades. Then after a final fit up and probably a little adjustment and pinning - I'll silver braze the fork blades into the crown.
